We are excited to share that the annual Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Parade is returning on Sunday, February 18th, 2018! This signature event of Vancouver's Chinatown will feature lion dances, cultural dance troupes, marching bands, martial arts performances and many more. This is an annual cultural extravaganza not to be missed and will for sure be a very rewarding volunteer experience!

- Event Day: Sunday, Feb 18th, 2018 (Volunteer hours between 8:00am - 4:30pm)
- Set-up Day: Saturday, Feb 17th, 2018 (Volunteer hours between 10:00am - 4:30pm)
- Duties: Set-up, crowd control, on-site helper with multiple duties, clean-up, etc.
- Number of volunteers needed: 200
- Volunteer Orientation: Feb 10th, 2018, 3:00-5:00 pm @ Choi Hall, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre
- Dress Code: please dress warmly with no open-toed shoes (preferably no high-heels) on the event day

Volunteer Helper Opportunities
SUCCESS Schools Out program, in Central Community Elementary located at Port Coquitlam during the school years and looking for volunteers who would like to work with a team to deliver after school program to Grade 3-5 elementary students in school settings.
This position entails 2 hours (or 4 hours) per week for a 18-week commitment on Tuesday and/or Thursday. SUCCESS Schools Out program is delivered twice a week from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, but volunteering normally starts at 3:30 pm.
We are looking for individuals who could attend all(or one) sessions per week for a weekly time commitment of approximately 2 hours.
Volunteers are open to all ages including youth over the age of 16, college students and parents who want to work on their volunteer hours for graduation, explore youth-related jobs and or interact with school-age children. And language proficiency should be LINC level 4 above.

Chinese Help Lines provide a channel for individuals to receive emotional and informational support from our trained volunteers.
The Chinese Help Lines team is looking for volunteer mentors who have basic English, are fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, and can commit to 40 hours of professional training with a training fee. Upcoming Training Schedule
